House 411 is conceived as a calm, light-filled residence for a highly accomplished professional couple. Set on a compact 10 marla plot, the fundamental ambition was to create a home that feels as expansive and open as a kanal-scale residence through the careful crafting of space, light, and connection.
The design challenges the physical limitations of the site by expanding spatial perception through volume and visual continuity. Interconnected levels, strategic voids, and open sightlines allow the house to breathe vertically.
Natural light becomes the central design element. Carefully positioned openings, skylights, and layered thresholds allow daylight to permeate deep into the interiors. Materiality plays a critical role with handmade tiles and a terracotta facade introducing warmth, tactility, and craft.
